Tavi Yes. It just bugs me that the candidates think that a "star" is going to help their cause, they should stand on their own.

Some people don't like to mix their politics and faith...I would rather not mix my politics with my entertainment. I just want to watch the f***ing movie in peace and not be reminded of who Sean Penn or Alec Baldwin (or the many others who have a second career in campaining) think I should vote for or what I should believe in.
Afterthought: (Reading the answers saying) "They have the right to say whatever they want to say" and "They can have an opinion, too.".......I do not think that the issue is should they or shouldn't they have an opinion or free speech, it's the fact that they are prostilitizing (spell?) the masses. Would everyone enjoy another Jehovah's Witness at their door this morning. It's kinda the same feeling......you just want to turn off all the lights and pretend no one's home until they go away. I pay them to keep me entertained, so these celebrities work for ME...and I want them to SHUT THE FOOK UP FOR A DAMN MINUTE.
Yes. please go vote!! That is the way to express one's opinion!

These celebrities are a joke. I don't go to see the movies they make or the TV shows they are on to hear who they are going to vote for. The worst is when I tune into an awards show to see who is going to win an award for whatever genre the show is covering and I have to hear the personal political opinions of some moron like Sean Penn or Susan Sarandon or Cheryl Crow. In my opinion these people aren't afforded this ability to address the masses on the basis of their personal beliefs. I think they are entitled to their opinions but I don't believe they should be allowed to express them during an awards shown when that is not the reason they are there. In other words, how would you like it if you called a plumber out to your house to fix your toilet and while he was fixing it he decided that since you are a captive audience that he would preach his political beliefs to you. I think not.

One cannot restrict the rights of a citizen just because they happen to be famous. Oprah, for example - has the right to freedom of speech, and therefore legally may support whomever she wishes. I don't feel it's wholly fair, but it's much more fair than restricting the rights and freedoms given to citizens at present.

maximum of them are not as skinny as they look and once you spot them in movie they have had particular education and weightloss plan months earlier to that to get the body structure you spot. In magazines etc, this is often photoshop. do not problem about how 'skinny' they provide the effect of being besides, maximum adult men choose some curves and a minimum of really meat on the bones.

I think celebs should be able to voice their opinion just like the rest of us....However I do think Americans should stop basing their vote on how their favorite celeb is voting.

No. I'm sure I won't agree with Oprah, but I defend, to the end, her right to say it. I also defend your right to tune it out if you wish. If we start censoring everything, it won't be long until we have to listen to garbage we don't want to hear.
People who don't like our Constitution can kindly go live in a place more suitable to them.

No, they have just as much right as any other citizen to express their opinion on politics or anything else. The question is should voters be swayed by them just because they say so?

That's a tough one because a lot of us spout our opinions and others should have the same right...but on the other side of the coin, they have the power to reach millions with their opinions.....
