First off you need to find a place to get you Headshot done 8"x10" and build a resume if you have anything to put on it
you can work from the bottom up.
audition for student and indie films (they may not pay but you have a chance for exposure at festivals)
mandy.com has listings by stat of small budget films
These will work as resume builders
Also you can do extra work on big budget filmsfilms
if you are not in California you can still find out if anything is being filmed in driving distance through sources like the state or city film commission and hollywood reporter magazine
many times they may have the company who is casting extras or the local talent agent
----Also you can get on the data base of a local casting director, if he can put your face in his files for free and doesn't try to take money from you for bookings that is a real casting director
The only thing they may charge you for is putting you on an internet database
To try and get right in the door you have to get an agent in Los Angeles
If you don't live there you can still get an agent but you will have to be willing to travel there as often as possible for an audition if you do not movie there
Agents take 15% of the money you make from a booking that THEY sent you on and can guide you to somebnody who can do your headshot
Using any tool to get your foot in the door is one step closer

Joining in tamil film is just a luck and the main thing Ur father should be a DIRECTOR or PRODUCER.

its very very hard.
try to take some really good photos of you. send them along with your profile to some directors or producers.
you can get their adresses from the film directory which is available in book shops.
you can also send cd's which can show your acting skills.
if u r specialised in dancing and martial arts.... it will be an advantage.
or else join some modelling agency,
visit some production companies... keep on trying in all ways.

well if you had a chance going to the New York film academy would be great for your career.
To find onfo on the school go to Google.com and search "New York Film school". They are know to be one of the top film schools.
