Very true! "What the mind can conceive the body can achieve." This is not applicable only in sports but in all aspects of life. However, the person should be persistent and patient in psyching himself everyday and every time that what he thinks is what he is. This would motivate him to act on this belief and achieve the desired outcome.

Absolutely, but one must learn when to apply this thought. Eventually, i feel that it is all dependent on how an individual's mind reacts to people and situations. Of course, frustration results in stagnation, but many times I've noticed that if i direct my frustration better, i do better.
Id try explain this better, but this is the best i can do!!

SOMEONE SAID: Only those who stretch themselves beyond the limit can find out where the limit actually lies.
I ADD: ..and the wise people observe such foolhardy people and stay happy within their limits.
Its a question of choice. Be happy or go far. Chances of having both is very rare. For example, if you wish to be a scientist that discovers one single medicine to cure all diseases ... try hard. Maybe you can. But whether you are able to do it or not - you are missing out on the good-life that guys like me are having with our beer-cans and our small little reasons to feel happy and alive for every moment of our life.
Life is a short journey. Fly at a level where you are comfortable. Fly too high, you miss the view. Fly too low and you hit the trees. MODERATION is the right word.

Many people with limitations would be surprised to see that a lot of those limitations are self imposed. Fear, pride ans self pity, lack of courage and faith, believing that one can't or shouldn't, these are a few of the ways people think and limit themselves to bigger and better things. Often it's other people too that can project doubt and negative thinking into other people and keep them down. People in government are good at telling people that they can't do this or that by themselves, so vote for me and I'll take care of it for you. The result is slavery on a personal level.

Some of the world's greatest philosophers were isolationist, and deep thinkers. Your question is interesting..Are you writing a paper? I do not agree. Nor disagree with you. I do know thinking outside of the box is more important. Leading by Example is not the only thing. It is the only thing........If you know who wrote that you are on the right path!!!!

Depends on how BIG you think. If you are born to Iraqi parents and you want to the president of the United States, you're in serious trouble. So think big but withing reasonable limits.

Thinking has to be coupled with act. If one thinks Big and acts small then the whole thing will lead to a hypocritical situation.
You must have heard someone say " A man who talks by yards and works by inches should be kicked by foot"

Yes, to an extent I agree. I also believe that people bring what they need into their lives. An improved mind set won't necessarily make your life smooth and successful. But it would cause you lots less in pain and suffering.

depends coz some people just think and don't do anything. if you only think big and do nothing you not gonna get big, if you do big without thinking big you will get big but you will not know that you are getting big. but i agree that if you always sad and frustrated then you will never be happy.
