If its a peck on the cheek and a thank you for your hard work then why not. if its a full on snog and a grope then no.

Surely that depends on the boss and what party. If it was a party where I fancied the boss nd I was still young/healthy enough, he would need to use evasive action to get away from me!
:-))

Yes, evasive action is the best idea, spread the word to everyone but your boss that it is fancy dress, and the men have to dress as women, and the women as men...then at the party give him A LOT to drink...and enjoy!

NO! If you don't want to. Even my 10yr old daughter knows the answer to this one. In Tae Kwon Do - block it! No need to offend, just put your hand out for a shake or a sort of stop sign reaction and turn your head away! You could still say Merry Xmas and get in first with a forward strong handshake! and if you have a partner there introduce them at the same time.

it's disgust, creep and an abuse of power..if it's only the women then it's sexual harrassment and you would win a tribunal hearing...i'd speak to human resources and ask them on company policy or don't go to the party, infact all the women could boycott the party and say why, however from experience there will always be some women who won't stand up for their sisters..

I worked for a recruiting firm where the majority of the workers made well into the 6 figures.

And it was just company protocol that at any outside activities, hugs and cheek kisses went round and round.

I didn't like it, but I sure liked my paychecks, so kiss my cheek all you want!

Learn to avert, a quick turn of the head puts his lips on your cheek, then go and fix your makeup.

He is a pervert and taking undue advantage just because he is the Boss.Have a joint effort by a few like minded young bold guys and pretend to be drunk.........and, finally when he does anything like this , just tell him "behave yourself and slap him him right and left in front of the ladies".You have to be little tactful and shouldn't allow the guy to go away with doing most uncivilised act in a Christmas Party.

Doesn't he try this all through the year ? Use the same action :) ........... If he has been getting his way all year round there is no stopping him.
And everyone tries to get some free hugs and kisses in this time of the year - spreading the message of love, joy, happiness et al is the mantra to take advantage of and this applies to both, guys and gals.

Have fun, stay away from the freeloaders and have fun. Seasons greetings !!!

It depends on what kiss it is. If its a peck on the cheek or air kisses then thats not too out of order but anything too touchy feely is just not right!

this is not right
He dont have the right to kiss all the staff women.
take a strict action so tht he never do it again with anyone
when he do it with you just give him a punch for what he did if u not worried about your job.
