Hello, everybody!
I have BMW 523i, E39, 1996. My accumulator is totally down and I am about to buy the new one.
Here is the question: in my old accumulator it's only says that it's 640A. It's not indicated wheather starter is 65, 70, 75 or 100. So, which one fits better and will last longer in my case? Also, which brand is better to buy?
Accumulator is located in the trunk, on the right.

Best regards,
Thank you
Vadim

Batteries (not "accumulator") are rated by group size, Amps, and Cold Cranking Amps (CCA).

I'm not sure which country you're from but guessing from your English, you probably do not stay in the US. Generally, you should be able to fit the right battery from any place that sells them. Or, if you want to be safe, go back to your BMW service center.

Battery brands are very different from country to country. For example, the popular US brands like "Duralast", "Die Hard", "Everlast", "Interstate", "Kirkland" or "Motorcraft" are all unavailable outside of the US.

Generally, good global brands include Bosch, Varta, Exide, Hoppecke...etc. But there're other good regional brands too such as "Lucas" (UK) or "Panasonic" (Asia).

Your best bet is just to check with your local battery shop and ask for recommendation. Read the article below for general information on choosing a battery.
