I'm a bit stuck! My flat is fine but the neighbourhood leaves a lot to be desired!! Mountains of rubbish outside, filthy lobby etc. I've tried advertising for a flatmate but no - ones going to want to live here. I've registered with a few flatshare sites but what I really want to find is somewhere I can advertise for someone to flat hunt with me. The classifieds don't seem to do it. Could afford a better bplace with the rent shared.

Cliftonville was "the best area" in the days when Dell boy and Rodders came here. Now it leaves a lot to be desired! The number of times I have heard " It is not my house I only rent" distresses me.
For me I have purchased the use of this property for a year three months ago when I returned from over the pond.
My using two tins of paint and a wash cloth on MY veranda windows as well as a broom on the stairs has inspired people who have "only rented" a part of the big houses, a flat, for over six years.
The older men, like me do not like to live in squalor.
Dirty nappies, cans, plastic bags broken toys and ciggies are not put here by the gulls.
Clean the place up and see that the other tenants will do likewise.
I am not good at stringing words together and the way these youngsters are destroying the old country has me better understanding why the baby boomers are getting out.

Yeah not a good situation. Are u at school, work etc. ? Post a very detailed add at school or work. Let friends, family, sporting contacts know you are looking. Even try old neighbours, the man at the corner shop, past friends, or their families (people you trust) (It's called networking) DO not get someone off the internet!! Then get 1 good friend and 1 trusted family member to be there when you interview them. Make it casual but have all your questions ready. Good Luck!

I don't know what it's like in the UK, but here in the states we have companies like Roommate Locators you can join and they will match you up with people who share your desires for living accommodations.
