Wow ... I'm not sure where the whole "gang up" or "pick on" element came from. You asked a valid question. I have picked my contacts because I like and care about them. It has nothing to do with being able to "take care of themselves" - of course they can - they're adults and good people. However, just as in my everyday life when someone insults a friend or family member it does bother me.
A snide comment or answer is one thing ... but I have seen people here "attacked" just as you said or totally insulted. There is no justification for that ~ especially because everyone is entitled to have their own opinion. It isn't true that anger doesn't solve anything ... at times it may be the only thing that does. If only to bring attention to a situation that needs to be addressed - of course after the anger has subsided.
So yea ... it ticks me off when someone attacks people I care about. I think that's human nature and if they needed me I'd be the first in line to back them up. That's what friends are for. It isn't about turning your back because you think someone can take care of themselves ... it's about being supportive. Period!

There are trolls everywhere on here, and if I catch one bashing my contacts I do get p!ssed. I'll back them up if I know it's happening. I chose my contacts because I like them and if someone is an ****** to them they're being an ****** to me too.

Yes I do. And they seem to get angry when someone attacks me. I love them and they love me. It's all about the love.

I get upset when anyone gets attacked. It is just a game and we should all be able to get along without resorting to attacking each other.

When it is a personal attack at them I do. This happens a lot here. I just don't see the reason for it. Why can't people just play nice. If you don't like someone, just leave them alone.
