No. TV shows aren't allowed to show people actually drinking alcohol, so whenever you see a person on a tv show drinking alcohol, it is a replacement liquid. Usually wawter for clear alcohols like vodka, and iced tea for darker ones like burbon and whiskey. I'm not sure what they use for beer though.

Not really sure...but, l have a question on what the person said above, that they can't drink alcohol on tv ,why do you see cooking shows, talk shows, the Today show 'tasting' samples all the time? I've seen them doing that all the time...with beer and wine?

I doubt tv producers and directors would really want drunks on the set - a little unpredictable in their performance, so I doubt it was real, but you never know who sneaks what !
