My daughter rather freeze or chance wet feet instead of wearing boots.

Heck no. I'd rather be warm and dry. I think at your daughter's age, it's so "uncool" to not look good. It's just her age, I think.

No. Not being cold, Not being wet that's not on.
Being stylish is not bad, as long as you do it in the right time and right place.
I'd like people to appreciate my being stylish and not to talk about me behind my back or say silly comments being stylish out of season.

All of my clothes for going out in are either too short or too skimpy for winter. I also have a permanent cold spot on my lower back at this time of year where my top fails to meet my skirt. But hey, I'd rather be cold than be an old frump.

I wouldn't.
But as a teenager my sister was that way.....she had to get stylish boots with heels instead of practical boots that actually kept her feet warm.....some girls are just like that.

a broken ankle cured me of the limits of stylish - now I try to find outdoor stylish that won't take me out of fun for 8 weeks.

I dress up in winter and wear as many clothes as I can. I wear my ugg boots to there keep my feet toasty.

fashionistas of a certain age don't feel the wet, or the cold
until you notice you are the one scrabbling for the hot-water bottle.....I think we all did it once - or twice!
