i want to know that will there be any problem fixing a free flow exhaust to my 1.1 ltr car just for a sporty sound? will it affect my mileage and performance? what i need is an owsome sound from the exhaust. please reply soon....and also tell me how to make a free flow exhaust? is there any measurements or anythin like tha t .....thank u

yes, this will hurt your engine. Your car only has a 1 liter engine. The problem with this is your car depends on the back pressure. With out the back pressure your car loses power, causing you to use more gas pedal making your motor stress. Which will cause you to burn your motor up. If you have to have a louder exhaust I would just put on an aftermarket muffler only. Your catalytic converter and resignator if you have on should give you plenty of back pressure.

It depends. The engine's timing is designed to work with a specific amount of back pressure. A free flow exhaust system reduces back pressure. Depending on the electronics set up, you engine may or may not be able to compensate for the difference. Often engines require an upgrade of the control chip to do this.

You can always tell when a kid has added one of these exhaust systems to his rice-burner without considering the timing issue. They make a whole lot of cool noise but cannot get out of their own way.
