I read about this morning and thought insurance scam you remember the tv show reginald Perrin dispearing into the sea only to return. And they have photo's of John Darwin and his wife together in Panama. I think the man is an idiot to think that he can fool everyone into thinking that he has amnesiac and doesn't remember where he has been for five and a half years. And his wife has no intentions of returning from Panama why because the UK has no extradition treaty with Panama pretty cushy I'd say.

An acquaintance of mine went missing at the Severn Bridge. All his personal effects were with his bike but his parents had to wait the full 7 years before he could be declared 'missing presumed drowned' - how come Mrs Darwin only had to wait 6 months and was able to cash in his life insurance ? I'm not so sure that the photo is genuine but anyway , if she's an honest woman -she'd be over here ,clearing her name NOW

The coroner waived the law for his wife. You are meant to be missing for 7 years to be declared dead without a body, and only then with strong evidence. The coroner issued the cert after just 6 months, on the grounds that no one could have survived in his wreck of a canoe.
Maybe he is learning life is tough, when you are meant to be dead.

if it incredibly is so - which skill the coverage corporation gets the money lower back and the two considered one of them go down for fraud. And why did he "reappear" now? except he needs to get his spouse into worry as properly and lose each and every thing they probably defrauded mutually, he could have been extra useful off residing incognito in Panama for something of his existence and keeping off being photographed together with his spouse in brochures. whilst's the mini sequence?????

He thought he was a very clever one. Some people take what they see on television too far. Fancy him believing he could out wink the system by playing a real life Reginald.

It looks as if his wife knew about this scam all along. If so she has committed a crime of fraud with her "loving" husband an accomplice. I feel sure that the cops will get to the bottom of it and if this is true will issue a warrant for their arrest.

Funny thing is though Elric......I thought you had to have 'disappeared' for 7 years or more in these kinda cases to get your grubby mitts on the Life Insurance. He had only supposedly been missing for 5.
Good scam if you can get away with it though.

Well, we'll have to wait and see, but what's been reported so far looks pretty fishy. The photo op in Panama tops the lot, but what if it was photoshopped?
