I have 3 grown daughters (who live out of town) and what I like the most is to do something with them - go to the movies, a short trip, watch videos that are special to them (each child is different), walk around the mall & window shop etc. Perhaps you could get facials or manicures together or go to her favorite restaurant or spend the night in a fancy hotel. Just this morning, I saw hanging in my kitchen a photo & poem that one of my daughters had written & given to me one Christmas. I will keep that always but probably could not name a "present" that she has given me although there have been many. Please give your mother "time". You will be very glad you did when the day comes that you can no longer do that.

A pedicure/foot massage. The run around 30-60 dollars depending on where you go, and if you make it a mom daughter date that might even make it better. Also depending on where you live if they have a school that teaches hair or nails around there,(you could look online) they usually do it even cheaper, or sometimes free with just a nice tip. and if you tell them you are doing this for a gift they will usually go the extra mile to make it nice experience.

How about a spa package? My mom is WAY overstressed most of the time--she and my dad own several businesses, and she doesn't take care of herself, so every year the managers at two of their businesses get together and buy her a day at a local spa, where she can relax for the day.

Go for sentiment...

Try and find a small globe - they have some under $40 bucks that are inlaid with semi precious stones and a nice blank card and write with one of those calligraphy pens - you mean the world to me today and everyday.

works for everyone on your list...
