I'm having problems with prank callers at the moment. Looking to go to police. Is there anyone that works for T-mobile or Orange who can tell me whether all calls are recorded. I'm thinking this should help as they can trace whoever registered the phone, even though they probably used fake details. How long are the recordings kept? I'm at my whits end. Is there also a way of telling where these people are when they make the call or send texts? Please help.......

I'm not an employee of either, and since you said Orange, I assume you're not in the United States?

In the US it's illegal to record conversations without consent. That's not to say that during your contract you signed it didn't have a clause about recording conversations but it's HIGHLY unlikely being an IT professional the amount of storage required to record every single phone conversation would seem unlikely.

Not sure about T-Mobile or Orange in your country, but in the US typically you can request to have the calls blocked. Including text messages.

If you're recieving threats of some sort you might consider getting the police involved since under certain circumstances they may be able to work with Tmobile/Orange to track it down.

Best wishes.
