It was part of a long keyfabe back in the day(not too far of course), and the divorce wasn't real. Still married with a kid too, it was announced on RAW.

yes. and if im not mistaken he is still married to stef mcmahon in real life. but in their scriped story line it has them eather divorced or seperated
