Don't panic. How long have you had and IUD and have you been able to feel the strings before?

Sometimes the strings of the IUD can get twisted around your cervix and this makes them more difficult to find.

Also, if you have only had the IUD for a short period of time it may have settled and when that happens the strings can get shorter. (Mine shortened by half).

Also, just because you can't feel the strings doesn't mean something is wrong. I actually can't feel my strings at all and the doctor says that is normal and I have been checked to make sure the IUD is still in place.

I would recommend that you make an appointment with your doctor so they can double check to make sure it is in place. As long as you are not in any pain and you are not bleeding heavily I would not worry until you see your doctor and get checked. Hope this helped!

i'm no longer telling this to scare you I merely want you to word. when I had an IUD inserted I cramped and bleed such as you does no longer have self assurance. I talked approximately as my healthcare expert and advised him of my horrid soreness and asked him to do away with the IUD he advised me i replaced into being a drama queen and that issues might ease up. some days later i began out working a fever and the cramping bigger. I went into the emergency room and the healthcare expert pulled and pulled and finally broke the string off of the IUD. i ended up in xray then surgical technique. My healthcare expert had positioned the IUD by way of my uterus and into my colon. they had to do away with it in surgical technique, it brought about a bad an infection and that i replaced into relatively ill for weeks This brought about an excellent scar in my uterus and that i misplaced 3 toddlers because of the fact the placenta does no longer adhere to the wall of my uterus simply by scar. needless to say you're no longer having this situation or you would be in soreness. Your IUD isn't linked to something on your uterus so it does flow around. purely to your very own peace of recommendations flow have it bumped off so which you will no longer might desire to situation anymore. Then delight in the child you're making plans on a sprint faster. next time you elect your sort of delivery administration you will greater constructive counseled. My greatest mistake replaced into thinking myself whilst that healthcare expert talked approximately as me a drama queen, and not suing the pants off the creep. solid success

Sometimes the thread can get caught inside the vagina itself, but I would recommend contacting your doctor as well to see what they say.
