heres how to do it..
get a glass jar
put a little hot water into it..
then cover the jar with a sheet of metal / glass / porcelain etc.
then on top of the cover place some ice..
because of the ice the air that moves to the top of the jar will cool and there fore some of the water vapour in it will condense ..
and HEY ! presto YOU HAVE A SMALL CLOUD..

Err the cloud will be inside the jar if you are wondering

Be careful with hot water though.. don't burn yourself

yes, it needs to be very humid inside, and special glass helps because with regular glass, water condenses on it very easily. You take the warm humid air and you quickly cool it or lower the pressure inside of the container, or do both, and it will create a cloud. It helps much to have dust particles in the air, as the water vapor will more readily cling to them and condense that way. That is the way regular clouds form.

Anytime the air reaches it's dew point you will form a cloud. The dew point can be adjusted by either adding more moisture to the air until it becomes saturated or lowering the temperature until it becomes too dense to hold as much water or both.

Blowing steam vapor over ice will do quite nicely. Just like breathing out on a cold day.
