i am recently divorced and trying to make myself sleep in the middle of the bed, but it's weird, did any other divorcees go through this? if you have been divorced, did you still sleep on the same "side" of the bed that you did when you were married? did you move the the middle? thoughts?

i know EXACTLY what you mean. i have been through this, and what i did first was to buy a new bed set and a large teddy bear. then i did stay on the same side of the bed but i cuddled my teddy and had lots of lovely room to stretch out as well. also 4 pillows:) all the best with this difficult time of your life. xxx

I have never been married to have been divorced but when my fiance is gone for work I just take up the whole bed. I will lay in the middle of it and sprawl out. Most times when he comes home from work he doesn't have any room to lay down and no blanket. I think it is completely up to you. You go to sleep in the bed how you feel the most comfortable sleeping. If you are more comfortable sleeping on your normal side do that if you are more comfortable sleeping on the other side go for it.

Why 'try' to sleep anywhere other than the place you habitually slept. If you slept well in the position on either side of the bed just carry on there. If you really want to change, move your bed so that it faces the opposite way. You'll generally find yourself sleeping on the opposite side of the bed but in exactly the same position.

It should not matter really, which side of the bed you sleep.

Even married partners, keep changing sleeping positions, when together.

I'm not divorced... but when my hubby leaves town or I take a nap, I sleep diagonally.

I can see why it might seem strange to you. Once we establish a sleeping habit it's hard to change it. Do whatever makes you feel comfortable.
