We first have to want to be, we have to want to be an above average person also. I don't think being average makes us good stewards of anything. A good steward of life would be loving thy neighbour as thyself, in other words making sure everybody around you is okay before yourself. Our time needs to be spent giving instead of taking, volunteer work should be in there, if we are goiing to be above average then that is one of the steps, very few people volunteer their own time to help someone else. And money, giving money to someone who needs it instead of buying us some luxery is really stepping up. Money should be wasted on something that will not be used except for to say I am keeping up with the neighbours. We should't care what other people drive or how big their house is or where they go on vacation. Being a good Steward means not making foolish decisions that hurt your family in the long run all for keeping up with what someone else is doing, there are millions of kids in the world that go to bed hungry every night. That is a terrible thought. We must be doing our part to stop that.
