That you only go around once; make the best of every day!

Be kind to your neighbors, hug your kids and grandkids a lot, tell them you love them everyday.

Spend as much time with your parents as you can....believe me, you will miss them when they are gone. They are irretrievable.

When you wake in the morning, get up and DO something - anything.. Don't turn the TV on and sit down....you'll be there most of the day and you're wasting time.

Do something special for yourself everyday...eat all the chocolate you want...enjoy cream donuts....use REAL butter..eat bacon....have a good gulp of your favorite libation whenever the mood strikes you.

Life has taught many lessons. However, the lesson that has taken the longest to integrate into my thinking is:

No matter how much one plans, no matter how good one's intentions, and no matter how much effort and preparation one devotes to any endeavor, God (misfortune, karma, or whatever you personally call it) can and does intervene to thwart your goals. Even if your goals are achieved, there are always unintended and unanticipated negative consequences. In other words, if you want to give God a good laugh, tell God YOUR plans.

I want to state many but the main is

Love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and the second is this love your neighbor as thyself.

I'm Not the center of the universe!

I ran the question thru the "Bible Test."

(If i could choose another it would be "Accept life on life's terms)

That faith, perseverance, humility and a warped sense of humor [since Murphy's Law is usually at work too!] will get you through most things in life

That you cant change people. I used to cringe if I was out with someone and they made a tit of themselves but now I Know that that is their action and not mine. Once I accepted that I enjoy myself more because I dont stress about someone elses behaviour.

That I need to be strong enough to support myself. Smart enough to love myself. That I can choose to share myself with others, but it will only ever be a sharing. And that I, and ONLY I, am responsible for every decision I make in my life.

to never say never
meaning: some situations that used to be (almost) impossible can soon become a real situation for you. So you never know what is the next big thing.
