Back in 2005 Alabama state senator Hank Erwin said about the reason for Hurricane Katrina:

"Warnings year after year by godly evangelists and preachers went unheeded. So why were we surprised when finally the hand of judgment fell?" he wrote. "Sadly, innocents suffered along with the guilty. Sin always brings suffering to good people as well as the bad."

Whether you are liberal or conservative, religious or not, I don't understand why we put up with a senator saying this garbage. That was a truely evil thing to say. How can some Christians believe stuff like this? In my opinion this guy is one step away from flying a plane into a building.

Pardon if I seem like I imply that your slow...but...

UFO'S? 911 conspiracy theories? 'reptilians'? sin causing katrina?

Its been a well known fact that planet Earth, but especially North America, is a giant insane asylum, and although not classified formally in the DSM-IV for criteria of mental illness, I beleive the main symptom of this widespread insanity is 'stupidity.'

99% of the US lacks any sense of rational calculation. This goes with common sense about the economy, attitudes, fashions, ***** to coporations...and yes, beleifs that make absolutely no sense and prove the population has no life.

Senator Hank obviously had nothing else to say & so spouted off whatever he thought made sense. It doesn't.

What about the Tsunami which battered scores of poor, helpless villagers? Churches & Shrines with thousands of pilgrims praying inside were washed away...

To attribute a natural calamity as an act of God (note the G in uppercase please) is not just silly, its presumptous...to presume that God would stoop to react to evil in such a petty & vengeful manner.

The bible does credit God's wrath for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. historical Babylonian texts additionally reference the city of Sodom and its destruction (however they don't point out a reason). As I do have faith interior the accuracy of the scriptures, I even have faith in this tale. If God had meant that New Orleans be destroyed, do you think of it would nevertheless be here at present? Sodom isn't. As for the destruction led to by utilising hurricane Katrina, hurricanes have been hitting the american Gulf Coast and Southern Atlantic coastlines for hundreds of years. replaced into it God's wrath that Hugo plastered Charleston? replaced into it God's wrath that Andrew wiped living house Florida off the map? replaced into it God who counseled men to construct New Orleans under sea point in a community services to hurricanes? I doubt it. If something, i might say that the destruction of recent Orleans replaced into the end results of mankind's arrogance and stupidity in construction a city under sea point interior the hurricane zone. Granted, God probable knew interior the beginning up of time that a men might build New Orleans able the place considered one of His hurricanes replaced into going to hit. I doubt there replaced into any anger in touch, yet there could have been some chastisement to remind us as to who's boss.

All I would like to say is this. There is no god(note the small g) Are the people of the mid-west of America such total idiots that they would fall such an obvious ploy. If you can not understand it blame it on sin, blame it on anything. But whatever you do do not THINK!

Wasnt there a gay parade about to go ahead in New Orleans? It seems to me that New Orleans was SIN CITY. If people flout the laws of God then please do not be suprised when they incur the wrath of God. Remember Sodom and Gomorrah!
Perhaps you should listen to the preachers of Gods word and read it for yourself in the Bible, then you will be aware of what God has planned for planet earth.
This is only the beginning ...............
