I usually do upon first eye contact. If the person averts their eyes is a clue to perhaps I won't find very much good there. Or perhaps emotional problems.
Almost everybody has some good!

Yes I look for good in others. Yes I always find it. I have to dig deeper in some people than others but its there if you look hard enough.

Yes and no. I am usually influenced by my first impression of a person and if that is negative, I tend to stick with that assessment. But if my first impression is positive or neutral, I will continue looking for good and generally find it.

You always try to look for the best in others, even if you are the most uncivilized, uncouth, anti social bastard on this planet. its just human nature. you tend to have hope in your fellow human beings, if not all, then those of your country or region.
That being said, do you find it? of course! one form or another. all humans are capable of good because we are the same species and we understand pain that is inflicted on us is the same as that being inflicted on others, the most part of it.
those who are but just malice and evil are very very very few, and in them selves have the capacity for good, albeit it is harder for them to understand it themselves. (except the ones that have weak wills or fail to grasp the true essence of living)
I hope this has answered your questions and you will now look forward to a cloudless sunny day.
