If they're not kept clean, of course they can, especially if someone sick sneezes and coughs all over them. It's just common sense.

Sharing any piece of equipment give the opportunity for infections to spread.
There is nothing unique about any touch screen that will make you sicker than you would be from sharing a keyboard or a pen with the same people.

Yep, if someone else is sick and touches it first. That's why employers should send sick employees home. Have your boss put a bottle of hand sanitizer next to the work station and encourage everyone to use it often.
