I need to know how to see the footage and if I can see find anything how do I get a copy any for a criminal case. The twist is I live in another state and don't have the funds to hirer some one.

Cant its a department store a no is there policy on everything. so is not calling you back.

File an official request from the court that you need the security camera footage as evidence for your case.

In the uk the data protection law demands from all holders of such electronic data of any public individual (including cctv footage) to make this available to any person of whom data is being kept.

In other words.. if you are on their recordings.. you have the right to get from the operater/owner of the cctv system. If he rejects this and the footage is lost (longer than 31days ago) he can get into trouble.

He might charge you a minor fee...which is also regulated by legislation... something around 25 quid.

Try asking for the tape from the store owner. He might just give it to you if you give a good enough reason without going through the courts.
