tell me how long did u take to get over a long term relationship.. lets say 4, 5 or 6 years together? does it hurt so bad? i need advice cos im still healing .. i think...

it took me about two years... during which time i wrote a course, spent time with friends, and got a new puppy.... i did things with family too... worst part was i started drinking too much and by myself... but i stopped it, thankfully.
hon, there are websites out there if you do a yahoo search on SURVIVING A BREAK UP or LIFE AFTER A BREAK UP.... you can find a lot of helpful information and advice.
i know you're in pain right now... but time does heal.
if i had to admit it, i'd say i still miss him, but as time moves on, i can see more and more why we were not meant to be.

Im going to walk thru that path soon, coz my bf's an abusive man who gets violent with me whenever he gets mad. It's insane how I can tolerate being with him since Aug 07 when he started getting violent. I totally understand the pain coz of the lingering feelings we have had for each other but time does heal as long as we do not contact each other anymore. Coz if you still do, you'll never get over him, ever.
