i was raised on a farm in the hills of Kentucky.
had horses, cattle, dogs, chickens, ducks, hogs, geese, rabbits and no, we had no sheep.
worked hard all summer to eat in the winter.
we had no stores to speak of, and money was so little, once i had a quarter, and thought of myself a rich boy.
it was good, hard, honest work.
pretty much the kind of work women does now, long, hard, honest and willing.

My grandfather owned a dairy farm before he died and I went there many times to see all the cows, chickens, ducks, and play around the barn...

My family owns one, so yeah I had to help run the farm. We had cows, sheep, horses, a whole barn full of chickens and ducks.

Yup, many times ... loved it. I live in the country, so there's a lot of farms in the area. :)
