Uh... CPU is central processing unit.
No, that big box is not a CPU, its called system unit, where your cd drives are in it. CPU is a hardware inside your system unit

UPS is Uninterruptible power supply. Its a backup battery, so if your eletricity goes off, it keeps your computer running for awhile to give you time to save all your work and shut it down properly
