I'm sorry to hear about your dilemma,
but please remain calm.
There is a product on the market,
you can find it in th drug store or
grocery stores, it is called K-Y Jelly,
this a water based gel designed
for lubricating the vaginal area.
Put some of this onto the vaginal area,
that's right, up inside,
next get into a squatting position,
now cough really hard,
the bladder should push this into
the canal where you can reach it.
Stay relaxed as possible.
Using a finger, reach upside your vagina,
you should be able to feel the tampon.
If by chance you are still having problems,
I would suggest that you call your
Doctor's office first,
because that visit will be much
cheaper than the ER.
Now, I'll tell you what I did in order
to get out the tampon that
I thought got lost.
It was wintertime and quite cold in
Mississippi that November
morning back in the early 1960s.
I had tried everything I could think
of except the garden hose,
But I figured that was my last
chance before going and
telling my Mom what had happened.
Yes, my dear, I inserted that hose,
and turned it on very slowly while
freeezing in my bathing suit.
But that little tampon,
finally surfaced enough so I could
reach the string, when I finally got it out
and glanced up, there was my twin-sister
asking me if I was out of my mind or what.
But I did manage to retreive it,
but then I learned to use tampons
that were just a bit larger and
more easily to come out.

First of all you should try to relax. Its not as big a deal as you think. You WILL get it out. Now you need to insert one or two fingers into your vagina to see if you can feel the tampon. If you can then try to use your two fingers to grab a hold of the tampon. Remember to stay calm! If after trying for a while you cant get it out then you need to go to the ER. Do NOT insert ANY foreign objects into your vagina to get it out. That is bad. Dont be too concerned with TSS because if you change your tampons regularly then you shouldnt have any concerns with it unless its been there for more than 16 hours.

Do not be enbarrassed about the ER. They see worse things trust me ;) They arent going to talk about you or anything I promise.

Fish around with your fingers and some KY. If you can't get it out, you do need to go to the ER or your doctor. This happens fairly regularly and they won't be embarrassed. They will also be able to fish it out better because of the angle.

Don't put anything else up there. I saw a lady in the emergency gyn who had tried to remove a tampon with tweezers and had to have internal sutures as well as getting the tampon removed.

There's no way it's stuck in there for good, theres no where for it to go. Just reach really deep and try to feel for it or get a mirror or something to look before you run to the ER. Also know that sometimes they fall out when you go pee and you don't feel it happen. Good luck with this!

Take a hose pipe, or one from the hair washing tap in the bathroom.
Place it at the entrance of your vagina and flush the tampon out

Go to bathroom and try to pour water through water pipe with force. It will come out.

Try asking another woman for help first.
