why would that be cynical?
its true man,
they did her a HUGE favour by arresting her and charging her with heresy.
its a real shame we always see the Muslims in the news that are a far cry from most of them
the Qur'an is a book of love, all the laws/guidelines/rules are really positive ones,
it teaches men and women are equal and regardless of creed/colour people are equal.
its really unfortunate people confuse a countries culture with Islams

You are cynical. I'm sure she did not look to make wads of cash when she took the job over there, I only become cynical when someone does something specific with the intention of then making money out of it - I don't have a problem with anybody making money out of accidents that happened in their lives. (I believe she accidentally caused this furore and would have preferred it never to have occurred).

Yes, she who laughs last will last longest! And that is Gillian in this case, I don't blame her one bit for speaking to a paper if she plans on it. I would in her shoes.
She never expected all this furore, so why not make something from it.
With any luck, she will make enough to retire, and stay safe! However she strikes me as the kind of woman who will want to continue teaching children, it seems to be her vocation. Which makes the whole treatment of her even more shocking.
I never agreed with the point they were trying to make in the first place.

I think she deserves a few quid for the pain and anguish she went through.
If a complete non-entity can leave the Big Brother house and get 50 grand from the Sun for telling their "story" then I don't see why this woman shouldn't be entitled to something.

I said this from day one, but got loads of thumbs down. I said she will be back on British soil within the week and will be able to retire with all the money she is going to make from the media and then a book. Good luck to her though, it must have been quite an ordeal.

why not, seems like a good get rich quick scenario. We might see how much she really loves the country if she does sell her story, she may give all the money to them.....

It is an amazing story. And why shouldn't she profit from it? If no one was interested, she woulndn't make any money, now would she? She isn't likely to have done it for profit, now, is she?

Good for her! She deserves it after all she's been through. Makes you want to do the same thing, eh?
