in fact the value of g is not constant, due to the planet not having absolutely round shape
there is a neglectable difference after the 3rd or 4th digit 9,8126 so so on

you got me there.....
g = Pt / mh
so you are looking for the gravitational acceleration due to gravity in a certain location.... here on earth we have 9.81 m/s^2.... in the place were a certain friend of mine comes from they have 1.7 m / s^2, that place is what we called the moon... so almost 1/ 6 of our gravitational acceleration is the gravitational acceleration in moon...

the g is actually the acceleration due to gravity and is a constant for a planet.... for earth also it has constant value which is 9.8 ms/^s
