I always buy toilet brushes as house warming presents. Most people throw them away when they move or don't think to buy one when they get their own place.

Bath towels! Big fluffy ones. In my experience single men never have more than 1 or 2 bath towels. And maybe some nice cushions to go with your new couch.

Well usually I make a dish and buy a house plant too. Or I buy a wall clock or a vase. It varies.
