I bought the card and it cost me £26 and as soon as it was put in it was showing artifacts so I don't know if I can get it fixed under the warranty? And how much will Leadtek warranty cost?

to my knowledge, Leadtek does not offer a "lifetime warranty" like many other manufacturers. Even if they did, "lifetime" on a video card is only valid during the manufacturing lifetime of the card. So, since they don't even produce the 6xxx series anymore, it would be void. You might be stuck with it, so just give horrible feedback on ebay.

One quick thing to note, though, you said it displays artifacts right away from boot? If so, then it is bad. If it is on for a bit before artifacts, it could be running hot. A thrid party cooler can bring temps down so it wouldn't artifact. I doubt you would want to dump more money into it though....cause it could just be bad. You might be able to send it in for a re-furb.

The 6800GT came out in 2004. That card could be outside of warranty.
