If there are no foul out rules, or free throws, I would just foul him every time he had the ball. I'm 6'3" and 235. I have enough muscle he would not back me down in the post. I would force him to shoot as far out as possible, even though he can still make a high percentage there. Everytime he attempted to drive around me, I would just foul, grab him so he couldn't score.
On offense, I hope I get hot from outside, that's probably the only way to win, hoping he backs off enough to get a shot off. I might try to post him up once or twice to try and bully him with my strength, but I'm sure he would still block the shot.
So overall, my guess would be:
Winner's out - Carter 15, Me 2
Loser's out - Carter 15, Me 4
Birdman - I think you are incredibly deluded about your skills, unless you are in the NBA or a very good college player, you have no chance of scoring more than 3 or 4 against an NBA star of Carter's skill and athleticism. He could back off 5 or 6 feet from you and still block all your 3 point shots.

15-1, 15-2 carter on a loser out game if i'm lucky to be able to squeeze off some shots. that would be a great treat.
if its winner out, it'll be a 15-0.
note to self if it ever happens:
remember to bring the following
a camera, a big felt pen and a poster of vince carter to be autographed.

He could probably shut me out if he wanted to, I might get lucky and make a fade away 3 pointer or something but like the other guy said if it is winner's out there would be no way I could stop him especially if he backed me down and dunked on me. I don't even think I would want to play him one on one because that really does not sound like fun but I would be down to play some 3 on 3 maybe or full court.

15-2. I think i can hit at least 1 long range jumper in the game & another score for a drive then pull-up for a medium range jumper. I'm sure i can't stop him defensively due to his height & moves. Vince will just dunk the ball possession after possession.

haha if I played vince carter 1on1? umm it depends if we were playing keeps, and if we were playin only 1pointers, or both 1's and 2's. but i'll say up to 15, 1's and 2's. alternating possession.....vince carter 15, me 8.
strategy: i would shoot all 2 pointers, no 1's. i think i'd be able to stop him from scoring maybe one or two times to prolong the game. if i was hot from long range the score could probably be closer, but i think this is pretty accurate.

I play D-I baseball so I stay in pretty good shape so I may be quick enough to get space to throw up some shots but the court is his kingdom. I'd say 15-1 or 15-2.

If it's not make it-take it, then its 15-5. Vince would win. If it IS make it-take it, then it's 15-0, Vince. NBA players are insane, if anyone in here says they could take him in one on one, then they are either in the NBA, or in the NCAA.
