I have a hard time matching colors. Red, blue, gray, and black ties will match what color shirts, blue or gray? Also, black or gray slacks go with which shirt combination, blue or gray?

I appreciate any help at all. Thanks.

Is it alright to match slacks with ties? Like wearing a gray tie with gray slacks, or black tie with black slacks? Also, is it ok to wear a black belt and shoes with all the combinations listed?

You can try either contrasting colours (shades of red) or complementary colours (another shade of blue with the blue shirt and, black-and-white combinations for the gray). If you don't want to buy too many ties, a blue-striped one should work well with either blue or gray shirts. It's always safe to keep your slacks to black - if you do want to try different colours, just remember not to wear gray slacks with a gray shirt or blue slacks with a blue shirt (unless the 2 shades of blue are very far apart).
Here are 2 "strategies" - you might want to use either one:
1) choose a tie that's almost the same colour as your shirt, but just make sure its of a different texture (frosty-textured ties work especially well). This could be an elegant solution
2) if choosing a multicoloured tie, make sure that at least one of the minor or secondary colours on the tie matches the colour of your shirt.
Good luck!

Blue and gray match together in any combination - blue pants and gray shirt, gray pants and blue shirt, or blue pants and blue shirt, or gray pants and gray shirt. I like the first 2 options better for a bit of interest. Blue or gray ties match, of course, in any combination as well. I would match a red tie with a white or cream shirt and grey or black pants. I'm not too fond of black ties unless you're wearing a tuxedo or morning suit. Ties with patterns or complimentary colours are even nicer, and can give you more color matching options depending on what colors are in the tie fabric.

Black pinstripe - White shirt---crisp with cuff links. A tie with a very small amount of red, gray, and white on a lighter gray background. Is the pinstripe a double-breasted jacket? Are the slacks smooth cut or do they have pleats in front? Black solid suit? Eggplant or Aubergine shirt; tie should have deep grays, deep olive greens (not forest or Kelly green), and just a bit of black White suit - without knowing the cut, this one is difficult. If you wear this one for evening wear, then I would suggest a tab collar shirt that is closed with a black onyx and silver color pin, wear a black onyx ring, appropriate watch, and no tie. The top tab collar shirts usually have pleated button fronts that appear almost as ascots. Very handsome. P.S. Black shoes, black leather belt for all three suits. For the black suits, please wear in your pocket a handkerchief that will go well with the Deep purple of the Eggplant for the Black solid suit, and a very crisp white handkerchief for the pinstripe. Now----be like John Travolta and "strut!"
