I didn't receive any "Best In" while I was in grade school. I remember I was a bit tomboyish ( I have four brothers, no sisters) so I was often in and out of every school scrapes my class adviser had to ask my mother to come so she can have a nice chit-chat with her. In high school, it was different but that's another story.

There were 2 coveted Special Awards in our Catholic all-girls school aside from the usual Honors --- the A-1 Pupil and Model Pupil Award. The A-1 Pupil title is like the "Beauty Award" while the Model Pupil title is like the "Brains and Right Attitude Award".
Needless to say, I was the "most beautiful" in Grade 2 and Miss Goody Two-Shoes in Grade 6 {LOL}...

Grade 1 - 1st Honors
Grade 2 - 1st Honors
Grade 3 - 1st Honors
Grade 4 - 1st Honors + Model Girl (noticed the sudden change? I was a hooligan at aged 6 - 10. I hang out with the boys & bickered with them. I was noisy and defiant to my teachers... it is only when i became "lady-like" that they gave me the Model Girl award, to my chagrin because inwardly, i was still a rascal).
Grade 5 - 1st Honors + Model Girl
Grade 6 - Valedictorian + Model Girl + Best in English + Highest NEAT score in English, Science & HEKASI (a percentile of 99, 98 & 99 respectively) + other awards that I forgot
... and it went downhill from then... hehe!

I got lots of awards in grade school.
Best writer in English, Neatest, Friendliest, Best Penmanship and I was consistently in the top 10.
I think the one that suits me now is friendliest because i am a slob(no longer neatest) and i don't really like writing that much. My penmanship is also not that good anymore.

Best in Art. That's the award that I enjoyed the most. Would give away my projects after those were graded. It gives me pleasure to see them appreciate it.
We had watercolor paintings using banana stalks, cross stitch (made several sets of handkerchiefs), posters (mixed media), origami. In our spare time we did coloring books (Japanese anime) and our classmates would remove the colored pages and brought it home to put in their room.
