I am nearly 29 weeks pregnant, now i have come to the conclusion my baby is lazy because he doesnt move much at all, and at every appointment they tell me everything seems good althought i havent been for scan since i was 20 weeks. They just check his heart beat and every time they say he is quite happy in there because he has a strong heatbeat.

Lately he is much lazier than usual, i think today i have only felt him move about 5 times. I have a feotal heart monitor so i have checked him and i found his heart beat and like usual it is strong but i would have thought his movements by now would be stronger and more often instead of less.

Has anyone had this and had a healthy baby? Just the other night i had a dream that i had him early and he wasnt breathing or moving. He really doesnt move much.

well the docts and labor and delivery nurses (RN) said that you should feel your baby move 10 times with in 2 hours no matter if it big or little kicks... other wise go to the ER to be checked by Triage... but if you dont wanna go just to be sent home is understandable.. i been there done that... so what i do now is call the hospital ask to soeak to a labor and deliver nurse and tell her how you feel or whats going on.. she will ask a couple questions and tell you if she thinks you should go in or not... also to have vivid dreams while pregnant they say is all normal because preg women worry so much... good luck
no matter how big the baby is or how far along you are no matter how much room there is the baby should still move 10 times with in 2 hours. just spoke to a L&D nurse

I'm 20 weeks w/ #2 and this baby kicks on and off during the day. I have noticed with this baby and my 1st that when I was busy, I didn't feel any movement (I'm guessing the baby was rocked asleep by my walking) and, when I went to bed I would feel movement for a little while but I'm thinking the baby was moving while I was sleeping and I was to exhausted to notice. Hope this helps a little bit! That's cool you have a fetal heart monitor!

At this point in pregnancy you want to feel one movement per hour. If his heart rate is truly okay (I think the appropriate range at this point is 130-170) then he is okay. However, stress your concerns to your doctor next visit, ask for an ultrasound. My daughter (number two of three) started moving considerably less at 38 weeks, I went to the doctor the next day, and they induced her because she wasn't growing like she should have been (she only weighed 4 lbs 11 oz, but was healthy). Chances are he IS absolutely okay...But it is better to be overly concerned than to not have a healthy (though preterm) baby.

Don't worry, the baby is fine. You are probably having a big baby which restricts the movement as time goes on because there's less room in there. Once you reach your last few weeks you probably won't feel any movement because there's no room in there (smile). If you are still worried, never forget to pray about it!

Number one the little guy is running outta room in there!! with my experience with being pregnant, that my little boy was the least active. He's also the calmest and laidback child that ive had so far...so maybe it's a good thing he;s lazy not sure if it has anything to do with the gender thing but who knows??

I thought you said this was a quick question loll. Only joking! Some babies sleep in the daytime and are awake when you sleep or he/she could be awake but just relaxing. It's 100% normal so stop worrying. Good luck!

talk to your doctor about your concerns. They'll be able to ease your mind.
