I'd have to say Dick's Picks volume 7. September of 1974. If you like the 1974 sound, this is them on a great, great night.*

*My favorite live album choice is subject to change without advanced notice, especially next time I listen to any other live Grateful dead show.

PS-FYI There is a website that has over 2000 soundboard recorded Dead shows available for streaming. archive.org.
Use to be able to download and record them for free. I was lucky to get a bunch before they made them unavailable for download.

"Live At The Cow Palace" New Year's Eve 1976 is pretty good. I'm still listening to "Three From The Vault" these days, it could become my favorite easily. But the one that's stuck to me is "Hundred Year Hall: 4-26-72". Keith was just starting with the band and wasn't holding back. It's got a strong first set with great segues and tight renditions of "Bertha", "Jack Straw", "Playing In The Band" and "Turn On Your Love Light". It's been my favorite for many years now.

If you like the Dead live then check out this link.

It brings you to a list of live shows by different bands. It is arranged alphabetically and if you scroll down to GD you'll find pages and pages of free live Dead shows. It's outstanding.

Have a grateful day !!!
