If you know which jumpers to reset the bios you can do that . Might be simpler for you to open the side case with cpu unplugged and remove the battery for a while. Maybe five ten minutes and put back in and plug in your pc and this might work for you. It resets the bios data. Good luck

I don't know about the second description about the avr thing. For the boot up sequence you can fix this by going to the bios. When the computer start hold down one of the function keys like F8, F12, F10 sometimes is the escape key (Esc) or the delete key. A weird screen will eventually pop up before the operating system tries to load. You will have to navigate through the menu. The menu is differrent for each manufacturer. One of the options should be boot order. Change it to hard rive first. Save and close.

The hard part here is getting that darn bios screen to come up. I guess each computer is different. Also, one of the function n keys sometimes gives you another screen that is not the bios screen. Is a trial and error thing. ou may want to look it up for your specific machine.

Hi! its got nothing to with the AVR(automatic voltage regulator)--tap the DEL key at boot up and enter BIOS--there you can easily change the boot sequence to HDD 1st ,DVD ROM next etc---cheers
