Bellick has no right to be an NFL head coach period! Bellick's success is a direct result of two players quite possibly having the greatest seasons ever at their respective positions in NFL history.
1998: Randy Moss' out of this world rookie season in Minnesota while Bellick was the Vikings' OC landed him the head coaching job in Baltimore.
2000: Ray Lewis winning NFL Defensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl MVP while leading a defense that allowed one touchdown in 4 playoff games. Ray was so good during the playoffs that 3 and out for the Ravens' offense was a good thing!
He's been there since 1999 and has yet to build an offense that's even half-decent. With Ray Lewis and Ed Reed on defense, there is no reason why the Ravens should not have at least 3 Super Bowl rings by now instead of only 1. For Christ's sake, they held Peyton Manning and the Colts to ZERO touchdowns last year in the playoffs and still lost!

Based on what I've read/seen from the sports media 'talking heads', they think Bellick is safe due to the fact that he signed a 4 year contract extention before the season for 5 mil a year. Unlike player contracts in the NFL, coach contracts are guaranteed, so if they fired him after the season they would have to pay him 15 million to not coach the team for the next 3 years. They think the owner is too cheap to do that.

He is a good coach, but I think he should go some where else. He been there long enough.
I don't think they will fire him this season, but if they suck next year, then he might be gone.
Besides, how do they got to replace him?
Who wants to go there? It is not Bellick fault, Just they have no quarterback, and Ray and the guys are getting old.

Yeah he needs the Ax after this year, its was unnecessary to call timeout when your team is up by four.
Let them play don't interrupt the game because you let your opponents win, poor judgement on bellick's part.

Can EVERYONE get this straight? Billick DID NOT CALL THE TIMEOUT LAST NIGHT!!! Rex Ryan did, and let me tell you he's not going anywhere. You don't fire the best defensive coordinator in the league cause of one dumb timeout in a lost season. Now on to Billick; although I would like to see him replaced with Bill Cowher it ain't gonna happen. 1 He signed a four-year deal after last years 13-3 run and 2. Cowher is going to take the Redskins job when Joe Gibbs retires.

#1 most overrated coach in the league. He only won the Super Bowl because Newsome and Bellicheck built the team up to that point.

Of all generally long term NFL coaches, I've wondered why the hell Billick is still coach of the Ravens...He hasn't lead them to anything since whenever it was...2000, I guess...and he ran the QB out of town...*L*...
