Basically got unemployment. i was fired friday and ive never had to go through this before. how much would someone get? how does the process work?

Are you over 65? Other than that.. you need to have a disability or have a child that you are supporting. ( I think)

Social security (federal) is not unemployment compensation (handled by the state). Your need to go to your state's Unemployment Office and file a claim.

You do not apply for social security if you are laid off. You are entitled to Unemployment Compensation and your former employer should have given you a layoff or dismissal slip. Take it to the local office of the State Labor Department and sign for unemployment .If you did not receive a notice go to the department and they will fill you in

You need to file for unemployment. Go to your local unemployment office to file for benefits. Those benefits would be quicker to receive. I think you just go down to your nearest social security office and apply.

go to the SSA office and ask for a # then theyy call u to the window, and the give u a date u come in and see if ur alagebal for benifits my bro works there if u need anything e-mail me and i well forword it to him
