Being a nurse I've seen a lot of people pass away. Every time I witnessed it, it gave nightmares for months.

My husband and I were driving on a bypass and a car to the right of us had a small child standing up through the car sunlight window as the the child's Dad was driving.I had just finished making a comment to my husband about how dangerous it was to allow any one to do that while a car was moving especially at the high speed all the cars were driving and next thing you know the car with the child with his head out the car sunlight window crashed into the car in front of it,and the poor child was thrown from the car.My husband pulled over immediately to make sure every one was o.k.
The People in the front car were alright but did have minor injures. The parents in the second car also had minor injures but were in terrible shock as their little son had died before the ambulance had got there.
I had nightmares for 6 months after it.I kept dreaming about the car accident 2 or 3 times a night and each time I woke, I was screaming and sweating like a pig.I felt like I was responsable for the whole thing for a while.I had myself convinced that I should have got my husband to wave them down and tell them to make their son sit in his seat with his seatbelt on.
I don't have night mares about it every night, but when I think of that day I usally have nightmares about it that night.I know now it's far from my fault to what happened to that little boy,but the whole sitution is hard to forget as watching a little boy die like that is something a person should never witness in a life time.

will back in Africa when I was little. My friend and I was going back from school. We race or ran from school to back home and in the way We have this big main road and people or the drivers drive fast over 65 MPH and it's not a freeway or highway like here in American. it's just a regular street which people use a lot and so We all know that when coming to that road we have to look and check both ways of the road so my Friend was running so fast and a big Truck came out of no where and Hit him and run him over and the driver didn't stop. He continue to run and when I ran and people ran to check on my friend. he was already death, his death was horrible and horrify. Blood all over the place and his stomach pop open. I cried all the day for about a month for losing him. he was my best friend. I couldn't believe and he him to die like that and to make it worst is that the driver ran and never found. I lose four Friend die in the road. I saw one die in from of my face with my two eyes and three of them I heard that they die on the same road. I even almost lost my brother and almost lose another friend. He was lucky that God was with him that die. the Bus hit him and stop quick and luckily he fall to the side. I was shacking and so does he and unlike here in America. There aren't a lot of police patrolling the road and they aren't police station so driver just do what ever they want and they aren't any ambulance or you can't call any ambulance like here. as I write this I still think about it and cry in the same time. I wish can go back in time and save them. I will do anything to get them back.

I have actually been quite lucky. I have been near fatalities and near disasters, but never actually witnessed them first hand. I have seen the aftermath of terrible car accidents but only after the fact. It is still pretty grim to view though. I don't get nightmares.

I have seen a few horrible things, one was seeing a young boy get hit by a car.
Another was a guy that got hit on a highway--didn't see it happen---when I saw it, it was cold raining and he was just laying there.
This may seem crazy but all I kept thinking was why didn't someone cover him with something and how cold he must be--even tho he was dead.
Then, the most recent was just a couple months ago. A little boy that we knew, died in the school parking lot. I saw him take his last breath...he was 10.

Last summer the crows ate the baby chick out of some other birds nest. I didn't know they did that. It was brutal. It doesn't give me nightmares but it makes me not want to throw out bread crusts for the little savages anymore!

do you mean events other than what i have been through in my life ....... if that's the case, then, *thinks* hmmmmm, i'd have to say, it's a tie between watching somone get hit by a car, watching someone getting stabbed in a fight, and...... watching another fight where 4-5 guys beat on this other guy as he was laying in a pool of his own blood. (and yes, one of them had a baseball bat). *sighs* what is WRONG with people! ♥

When I was a child I witnessed a terrible car accident where a man was lying in the road with his head almost decapitated in his hand and his body was still moving. It still haunts me...
