I bought him an offering of humor & smiles to quell his anxiety...... I toss him a hug every now and again ... cuz guys don't like to hug guys .... and I let him know he's a bit of alright ....... and you know I let him out ... to do some writing ..... just some writing ... now...now..... You're on the right track, there is a line but it's not about which side people are on. It's a curved line, and people are gaged on it, falling some where on the line. but it's also not as simple as complete lunatics being on one end and people with"normal" mental health on the other, like a rainbow there are separate spectrums and people can pan into different spectrums, having an assortment of disorders may put you further down the line.
This should give you more hope then just a thinning line, just because a person places themselves at a certain point on the line doesn't mean their mental health will remain there, you can take even the slightest step towards a different point on the spectrum.

Crazy feels okay. But insane feels like the world should end. Your line is getting thinner because people around you are ALSO increasingly insane. Hurry up, Spring before we all loose it even before winter officially arrives!

To start with...i'd say that ur question sounds a bit funny on the face of it, but i can say it with surity that there wud be cicumstances rather a chain of events which has compelled u to post this question.
cutting the small talk out, every person is a lil carzy in his/her own accord. its just that how other take it. now the fine line u r referring to is not only between crazy n insane, its in every thing, one is laughing for some time then he/she is happy...but if it prolonges then the same he/she is considered to be losing it. so u see my dear that balance is the essence of everything.
coming to specifically ur case... like i said in the start , there must hae been a long chain of events which has led u to think like this for urself.
now i donno the facts behind this condition of urs but wat lil advice i can offer is that please look beyond the sordid metaphysical environment in which u r kind of cocooned right now, strange and difficult it might sound but DO look for small lil pleasant things life has to offer. just for the time being try ignoring the thing which is bothering u the most. try some good flick or some outing or simply a break in ur routine . try some soothing massage n sleep.
i know this all might sound sordid to u but believe u me i have been through all this once. and this is wat worked for me.
i hope i was of any assistance.
take care.

No, insanity is a legal term, crazy is undefined. As for your line, perhaps you need to sit back, relax, take long deep breaths and focus on what's bothering you. After that, decide what there is that you can do about it, then do it. And don't worry about the things you can't do anything about.

I am neither crazy nor insane.
Crazy and insane people have to see a doctor about their problem. I adjusted rather well to mine, thank you very much.

I think there's a kind of fun, devil-may-care attitude, and I think there's mental illness. If you think you're slipping into mental illness, try www.nami.org. If they have a local group, they may be able to help you. Otherwise, I'd go to the doctor and explain what's going on, and get a physical to see if there's something wrong.

I think I am right in the middle, LOL. The distance between the two is incredibly short. I don't think the distance from sanity to insanity is all that far either. Is that you I see off in the distance? Hello, Hello..........
