Is there an approved Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan ?. Kindly explain....

All large and most medium businesses will have this.

FYI - they 'make it up' themselves (in USA there may be some sort of Federal Regulation that applies = you will need to look it up)

Yes, there is. There needs to be a disaster recovery plan in place to recover the disaster. It has to be meticulously planned. There is also the Business continuity plan and you can find it in the source box.
