Even poor people have a gun in their house for home protection. I read he had a machete, and you know what they say about bringing a knife to a gun fight. If he had a gun, would he be alive today? I suspect that if he had fired a gun, it would have scared off the intruders. Why didn't he lock himself in his room and called the police?

I'm not saying it's his fault he was killed, but people get killed in robberies every day, and people need to take action to prevent it from happening to them.

Sean Taylor was on probation for a gun violation, since he was making an attempt to turn his life around he probably did not have an (what would be due to probation) illegal firearm in the house. why do you fools keep trying to turn this families tragedy into some gun rights prayer meeting.

Sean Taylor deserves better then this kind of bullshi*!

Sean Taylor did not have a felony record and was legally able to possess firearms. The incident that he was charges with involved a few scumbags who had stolen his property, I would have been pissed too.He had a few misdemeanors on his record but I would like to meet the person who has never committed one.

I agree that he should have had a firearm for protection. It is absolute hogwash that 85% of gun ownwers have them used against you.

You are much safer with a gun in your house than without. Read More Guns Less Crime by John Lott to get the facts on this. It completely rfutes the liberal propaganda that has been fed to us without question for years.

I wish he would have had firearms and had the ablity to use them. The world would be a better place if he had wied out the 4 scumbags and had been in uniform Sunday, that is tough to say for a Cowboys fan.

Whats having a gun in the house matter one way or another.
Just because you have a gun does not mean you are willing to use it. 85% of people who have a gun and try and use it for home protection end up having it used against them. A gun does not make you safe. My question is why did these guys have an illegal gun and why where they still on the streets as they all have had records in the past.

P.S.
I have several guns in my home they are for recreational use
at the range. If someone broke in my home the 1st thing I reach for is my phone to dial 911.

we will never comprehend. yet whilst those adult men weren't charged with premeditated homicide, then WHY did they convey that gun in there?? looks they delivered it so they might safeguard a bad concern if it arose. the place I come from, in case you're caught in a homicide on an identical time as a criminal (which incorporate armed theft) is going on, then you certainly are given an extremely no longer elementary sentence which you're no longer getting out of! i assume their argument is they shot him in his leg incredibly than his head or chest. nevertheless, that's a risk that Taylor could have been killed whether he had a gun.

He could not legally possess any firearms due to his criminal history. That's what ya get when you break the law. You lose your rights when you violate other's rights. Another reason to be good.
