I think Violet is a really beautiful name. Its not "strange", but its not common. Its classic and V is a very sophisticated initial. Also, a little girl named violet sounds as appropriate as an elderly woman named violet. It will suit her all her life. Jana to me, for example sounds like a childs name moreso, as does Becca.
Jocelyn is quite pretty as well. How about Jocelyn Violet?

I like Jocelyn the best. Nyla reminds me of the Lion King, Becca isn't a good first name, Rebecca would be better. Violet is okay, but not something I'd go with...Jana is okay as well.

hmm..... i think we might have very different taste. on a scale from 1 to 10, nyla scores 3.5, becca scores 7, violet scores 5.5, jana scores 2, and jocelyn scores 1.5. i think becca is ok, but the rest are not my type........ personally, i like the names alyse, alyssa, jennifer, katherine, and kelly. kelly is very high-class sounding to me. the others sound cute and fun, but also sophisticated enough for an adult. anyways, good luck on finding the right name!

Nyla~ Beautiful and unique...did you know that was once the name of Brittany Spears restaurant. It meant "New York to Lousianna"
