g because it is cheaper.
practially nobody uses the n and likely wont before other things come out like WiMax, Zigbee, etc.

Yes,
Your bottleneck will not typically be the 54 Mbs advertised connection of your wirelss but the Speed of your Internet connection...typically 1.5-3Mbs. Wireless is advertised under best case scenarios so even "54 Mbs" is usually 18-24 Mbs...Still much faster than most broadband connections. N is another advertisement joke as it is a spectrum hog, However others have said here, there are other factors besides just speed.. distance, multipath signals and link stability...however G is a good stable setup and fairly mature now

N type mimo cards are in fact a good deal better, but you won't catch the better in terms of speed, you'll catch it in terms of stability, range and signal strength.
If you are going to use this thing all over the place in coffee shops and at school or work, go ahead and spend the extra few bucks for a n card. Heck, when you upgrade to newer machine, you can put it in there and bridge them !

either will work fine, you will require a wireless router to send the signal to the wireless card but the only difference you will get by going with the n class is some range..

g card is standard now
Most laptops that are sold now have an internal wireless card uses g.
I think the n card is what they are anticipating more might start using later, but g should stay compatible.

Get the N. that's greater contemporary technologies and is quicker in case you have a on the spot N router and an N receiver. in case you blend N with G that's going to artwork, yet you will no longer get the reward of on the spot N. As for the type, allegedly on the spot N has greater constructive selection, yet in certainty those claims are subjective. it truthfully relies upon on your place and the potential of the antenna utilized by using the router.
