7+3x=5x+13
7 + 3x - 3x =5x -3x +13
7=2x+13
7 -13 = 2x +13-13
-6=2x
-6/2 =2x/2
-3=x

I'm a freaking genius!!!!!
just remember every time you do an operation on one side of the equation, you have to do it to the other side too. That's why its called an equation.

OK, first get rid of as many numbers as you can.

So, for the 7 and thirteen, eliminate 7 from each side, leaving 0 and 6.

Now you have 3x = 5x+ 6.

Now get rid of some of the rest, so you get rid of 3 on each side. So it becomes x = 2x + 6.

So x must be a negative number, right? I think you can figure it out from there.

x= -3 because you subtract 3x on both sides so u get
7=2x + 13
then subtract 13 on both sides to get:
-6 =2x
divide by 2
x=-3
