its not wrong, our society has made it come across as wrong because of its past! the way our society was before with other races made being proud of being white a racist statement in todays society. it is ok to be black and proud, blacks have been through so much in the past, of brown and proud because mexicans have had to work so hard to get here and make a life in America and so on, but it is looked at as whites were GIVEN the rights to be here and be free. people have forgetten that our rights were fought for as well. as Americans, no matter what our race, religion, and so on we have the right to be proud of who we are, as humans we have the right!

I am not white, but I would like to tell you that you should be proud to say you are white and there is nothing wrong with saying you are white. In my experience having seen and interacted with people of different race and color, white people have the best character and good natured. They simply seem to have been created with good attributes.
They are helpful, courteous and give respect to you as a individual, are trustful, honest, friendly, straightforward and have many other good qualities.
I am not saying that others dont have such a character, but when you consider all people, a very high percentage of the white people fall into the above category, while there is only a small percentage of them who are not so.
I dont see such a high percentage of good natured people in any other race or color which I think might be due to their culture, their ethnicity and many other factors.
Hey, if someone makes you feel ashamed and dirty, it is because they are not thinking in a proper way, which goes back to their inner nature and the way they think and the problem is with them and their mindset.
So, you better say you are white and be proud and happy for what you are!
Please note: I am not trying to please anyone here, but I found this to be a good question for which I wanted to express my honest opinion specifically from my experience while living in the US.

aw man not another one of those questions that says that minorities can do whatever, but whites can't. I really don't care that you are proud to be german, good for you, seriously thats fine, but when you say I think white people have made the greatest contributuins, it turns some people off. I have never really understood the concept of racial pride. to me, its like saying you would hate yourself if you were any other race. I'm content being black and being myself, if I had happened to be born into another race, I would still be myself , so I really don't get the hype about how skin color makes or breaks you. I'm just being honest, even though I will probably get 1 million thumb downs.

There was a similar question in the past about this...
Yea, its not right for other cultures to look at "white pride" as a racist group of ppl, but not everyone looks at it that way. With the ongoing racial slurs being made public by celebrities n regular society, its just more difficult to accept. (I.e. Hanging nooses, don imus, guy from seinfeld, mad dog/bounty hunter, etc)
Also, "white pride" can exist depending on what exactly u are representing and what exactly u have pride about....white can be broken down to so many ethnicities like irish/scottish/swedish/german/etc...and there is no complaint about that...its when a race or ethnic group boasts about how their better than the other or groups like the kkk come around that problems erupt...(not saying that u are like that)
So like I said, there is nothing wrong/racist with "white pride" "black pride" whatever pride, as long as it is understood what ur pride really is for and the motivation behind it isn't meant to put down other races...
Quick question...what is your description of a white pride parade and how exactly do u celebrate white pride in ur opinion? (Bc u know there are italian parades, african american parades, german parades, etc)

I don't think you need pride in race because race is not who you are, you are much more then a skin color. I never consider my race because that will not do anything for me in life so just saying I'm proud to be this or that is kind of a waste of time. You should be proud that you are a good person, or proud of something you accomplished, or proud of the work you did but to just be proud of your physical appearence is something that seems kind of childish to me.

You can be proud of things you worked for but you can not be PROUD of a colour because YOU didn't make it. It is not your earning being white or brown, nobody made his colour by himself or worked hard to reach this or that colour.
But you can be proud of yourself having such thoughts!

I don't understand why anyone should be proud of something stupid like this.
I also don't like people that are proud to be black or brown or whatever else they might want to call them selfes.
It's no reason to be proud.
You can't affect the way you get born.

nothing wrong with it, but we're made to feel guilty by the race groups who aren't white, that have an agenda to use us as their excuse
it's a double standard in society which is destroying America, and Europe
