Depends on the movie. If I think it´ll be pretty good I´ll go to the movies, if I don´t think it´s that worth it I´ll wait for the DVD and rent it.

The idea of the cinema is a nice one, but the practice is far from ideal. Unless you've gone to see something dull and high-brow, the chances are you end up rubbing shoulders with your fellow man, and that is never a nice thing, phones on silent and texting throughout, so you get these little glows of light all over the theatre, talking, fidgeting... just general distractions that I'd rather do without, so considering I've got a 42" Plasma on the wall , a full DTS sound system and now Blu-ray and HDDVD, I don't often feel the urge to spend all that money to watch it with adverts and out of focus ;-)

Occasionally I'll go to the cinema, some films are better there. But mostly I buy or borrow. For the price of a family cinema ticket I can probably get 2 dvd's. And it's nice to get comfy on the sofa.
My son is also deaf so for he needs subtitles which aren't always available at the cinema.

I prefer to rent or buy the dvd. The cinema is just too expensive especially when I'm taking my kids.

If it's a really talked about movie I go see it if it isn't I just wait unless a whole group of people I know are going then I will. Mostly I wait movies come out after 4-6 months after it came out anyway.LOL Or sometimes less. Why not wait?

If I really want to see it I will go to the movies. If I think it looks like it would be good hen I will rent it on DVD. I wont buy it unless I loved it and want to see it again or my favorite actor like any Adam Sandler movie or it used to be Chris Farley...RIP.

I prefer to rent because then it is more comfortable at home to watch, I can pause it whenever I want for a bathroom break so I don't miss a thing, and I don't have to pay those expensive prices for tickets and snacks.

RENT or rent on demand off cable...
reasons.....I can make my own popcorn, refill my soda as often as I like and stop the movie to visit the Girl's room if I need to without missing anything.
BEST OF ALL, when I rest my head on my chair, I don't have to worry about who's head was there before mine!
