i would think so. Evidence: Pres. Chavez did not rig the votes. He just accepted the outcomes. Had he been a dictator, he would have rigged the elections.

unlike Chavez, Bush did rig the elections. I believe so.

Where is your proof that President Bush rigged an election?

Do you think that Chavez will not try again? If he can push his "reforms" through by the time he has to leave office, will he just fade away?

Did you read the whole story? With Chavez's imagine with the rest of the world, he could not afford to stage a take-over.
Chavez is smart; he will bide his time until he can take-over Venezuela completely. He isn't a boastful as his hero, Fidel Casto, who claims to win elections unanimously.

First, you are an idiot. Your beliefs are meaningless.

You really think Chavez did not try to rig the election? He used rioting mobs, police intimidation, scare propaganda, and other techniques to get people to go along with this dictatorial ambitions.

And I never saw Bush try to change the constitution so he could remain el presidente for life.

And Bush is not wrecking the economy. Ours is going along just fine.

But here's the clincher: The Index of Economic Freedom, published annually.

This year, Venezuela has dropped to 144th place, victoriously and soundly beating Vietnam, Bangladesh and Rwanda, RWANDA! by becoming the worse violator of economic and property rights.

Maybe next year, Venezuela might be able to pass Zimbabwe!

My best friend's brother-in-law who is from Venezuela doesn't think so. In fact they are trying to do all they can to get some family members to the USA because Venezuela has turned into a hell hole.
Besides if Bush had rigged the elections you'd think that he would have easily won Florida by a large margin since his bother was govenor in 2000. It is easy to see that you know nothing about the electoral process. You need to go volunteer at the polls and you will see that there are people from each party watching everything that is going on. Besides since you libs are so much smarter than the cons how could you possibly be cheated by them?

What a bunch of garbage. You're probably the same type of person who thinks Bush is a moron and yet is able to control a cabal to control the US and rig its elections. Chavez threatens censorship to media outlets that are in his opinion too hostile, as what happened to the main opposition channel. They had their broadcasting license pulled and had to close shop. His referandum failed because he is smart to understand that should he make any sort of unpopular move, the middle and upper class will overthrow him while the lower class returns to their traditional apathy. He's gotten away with alot already due to his very effective political machines that effectively bribe the poor in returns for votes for him and his party. Unfortunately for him, the poor didn't show up like they have done in the past to support him and as a result he lost.

To do list for David B:

1. Put down crack cocaine;
2. Check yourself into Mental Hospital;
3. Do not have children, do not collect $200.

Your buddy Chavez will try again.

And keep ranting about US election 2000. Americans everywhere know the truth about how your types tried to stop votes from soldiers overseas and do "selective counting".

Oh, David. Surely... surely you are smarter than that. Not only did Chavez want to be President for life but he also wanted control of the central banks. Do you think President Bush would try to control your bank's money? You really need to know more about what you are talking about.

Give it time. For someone to even propose such a reform deserves to be kicked out of power. Think about it to. He only lost by 1.4%. Yeesh!

If you're even proposing that Pres. Chavez is not a dictator but Pres. Bush is, please leave the country then.

I'm not that big of a supporter of Pres. Bush however, he's not a dictator. Typical immature type kid.

Ask the private owners of yachts, planes and homes that were taken from them by Chavez. He is a warm pile of cow dung that smells so bad flies won't even come around!
