Well, it's because they are too busy collecting other people's money of course. I work for the State and I have ZERO choice but to pay union dues whether I want to or not. I do believe it is about 1-2 dollars less per week since I am not a member of the union.

All to protect their right of free speech.... so they can send "republican hate" mail to me. They charge me to send me things that I don't want to read. Isn't that extortion?

All the while, they do whatever they can to collect my money so that they can give it away to someone else.

They are doing their best to push for Socialism, followed by Communism, so we are told what to do and how to do it every second of every day. TOTAL GOVERNMENT CONTROL is their agenda. They want us to be paying half of our paychecks to the government so they can decide what to spend our money on. They just never want to spend their own money.

They talk about how Republicans have all of the money, but they are always into redistribution of wealth and taxation, but I am about as conservative as you can be and I have no money. I am also not looking to them for a handout.

If they do, it is only for the tax breaks. Also, I know from my own experience that most of the so called charities are as helpful to those in need, as putting a band aid on a stab wound. They do nothing to actually pull the person up, and help them get on their feet, they only give a temporary solution to an immediate crisis. Many charities think that helping a person get a minimum wage job, is really doing something. Liberals want to actually change the system, and make permanent changes that really level the playing field. But, I don't expect you to be able to grasp the difference. *sm*

You don't know what a "statistically proven fact" is...

Democrats have been compared to Republicans (and actually give less in $ amount but it equates to a larger portion of their expendable income).

While Republican Organizations like the Salvation Army rake in the big bucks... Democrat Versions get more small donations from concerned citizens... as opposed to just a few huge donations that serve as a tax write-off.

"Liberals and conservatives" have never been compared by what they give to charity because you would have to measure the content of their ideals in order to classify them as such.

Conservatives give more to charity than liberals because they're not big advocates of government responsibility. They believe that people should give more money to charity than to the government. That's one of the reasons they support tax cuts. Liberals believe that it's the government's responsiblity to help the poor. Therefore, they believe that people should give more money to the government than to charity.

I can't find it on the web but... look at the demographics

I'd guess -- fewer, wealthier conservatives contribute more to charity for tax incentives, whereas, more middle-class liberals contribute minimal amounts for the sake of charity.
who knows? I'd be curious to find out.

well if it is statistically proven and factual..you should have provided a link. I don't think most people will want to take the time to research every little bs statistical claim made by yahoo con trolls...

I donate plenty to all sorts of causes, and I volunteer at the rec center...so there goes your theory.

next question.

After reading some of the answers posted here, I would like to ask this question, Are all Liberals really stupid, or just the ones that answered this question?

I think you have just defined the hypocrisy of liberals.

Few liberals will actively do anything to help others, they simply exploit people in need, for political gain.

Do you think Jessie Jackson actively follows Dr King's message, to bring people together, to heal wounds, to forgive, to unify humanity? Of course not, Jessie exploits his people, to gain power and money, for Jessie.

Who is saying they are following Dr King's message? Are they? Those that are following Dr King's message are Jessie and Al's enemy.

Take just about every cause liberals claim to support and you will see the same sort of hypocrisy and corruption- every singe selfish interest group.

Socialists have hi-jacked the democratic party and most of these silly socialists don't even know it.

So, sure I agree that the liberal will not actively help a party in need of charity, they mostly exploit them, for political gain.

Tax write-offs!
Nothing like having a way to get rid of your trash without having to pay trash service, and get a tax write-off at the same time!

If they didn't ask for a receipt where it could be recorded and reported in those little statistics, you nor anyone else would have any idea that they even donated.
